The amount you receive will depend on your income and circumstances.
Although you will get a reduction, if eligible, on your council tax bill, your water and waste water charges will remain, according to Glasgow City Council.
So, who can apply and what is the process? Here is what you need to know.
You can only apply if you are the person who pays council tax for the property.

Glasgow City Council ask that you apply using their Council Tax Reduction application.
Once you submit your application, they will be in contact you to let you know if you qualify.

The level of evidence you need to provide depends on your income and circumstances.
They may ask you for the following evidence to support your application:
Glasgow City Council warn: "Please do not delay in applying for benefit whilst waiting for any of the information listed above.
"We only accept original documents. We will retain any original documents provided for 6 weeks prior to them being securely disposed of. If you require your original documents returned to you, you must request this when submitting the documents or within the 6 week period."
If you are not happy with the decision made, you can seek an independent ruling from the Council Tax Reduction Review Panel who will conduct a further review which can only be requested after they have carried out an internal review.
